WASHINGTON, DC – In a statement released today, Congressman Robert C. “Bobby” Scott endorsed Marcia Price, candidate for the House of Delegates, running to represent the 95th House district.   

Scott’s statement reads, “There is a reason why the Virginia Education Association and the Virginia AFL-CIO have endorsed Marcia Price.  It's because she will fight for equal access to quality education and the concerns of working people in the 95th district.  I know she will work hard for all of the people she seeks to represent in Newport News and Hampton.  Marcia has my support.”

“Congressman Scott is the epitome of a champion on the issues that affect us most.  His lifelong fight for justice is an inspiration.  I appreciate his example and his leadership on Criminal Justice Reform, concerns of the workforce, and investing in education.  I am happy to have his support in my run for the House of Delegates,” Price said today.

Congressman Scott is currently serving his twelfth term in the United States Congress and represents the 3rd Congressional District in VA.  He previously served in the Virginia House of Delegates and the Senate of Virginia.  Scott currently serves as the Ranking Member on the Committee on Education and the Workforce.
